1/13/2006: FADED ME UPDATE...
Several have been asking what Faded Me is up to....with seemingly little activity in the show department and all.

Basically‚ Faded Me as you know it (in it´s many forms) is finally winding down....or at least toning it down drastically.

The decision has been made for Faded Me to move to being a studio band only‚ producing albums as they are able. This studio band will consist of the following members: Jason Wing (original lead singer )‚ JP Scott (original bassist)‚ Nate Turner‚ John Badgley‚ Carlos Rodriquez‚ and Jeremy Mix.

As far as studio projects‚ Faded Me has two in the works.

First there is a 5-song REMIX ep‚ with the complete redo of several of your favorites off of ´When It´s Over´ driven by techno‚ industrial‚ ambient‚ and hip-hop beats. (Think Postal Service‚ Sunsets and Sushi‚ etc.)

Second‚ Faded Me will continue to work on NEW material for their sophomore album‚ both a 5 song EP‚ and 15 song LP‚ all focusing around the Book of Isaiah.

Since Faded Me will only be finishing the remaining shows on their schedule (as of now‚ last show on March 4th) ‚ it has freed members to pursue other musical outlets:
~Jon and Jeremy are currently working on a new untitled project with a new drummer and bassist.
~Carlos‚ Nate‚ Jeremy‚ and Jon are all involved in worship music in their respective churches.
~Kyle (who will be singing out the remainder of our shows) and Jeremy are working together to produce Kyle´s first solo cd. Get ready to see Kyle´s real musical influences‚ and vocal talent!
~Jeremy is working closely with Paul Schaefer of The Worship Factory studio to help produce several great bands.

In closing‚ we want to thank you all for your 5 years of support at shows. We hope that we have served only to draw you closer to Jesus‚ and remind you of the joy found in Him. We hope we can continue to be a blessing to you with our studio projects!

Blessings‚
Faded Me

p.s. Old merchandise on the website will be drastically reduced in price ($5 T´s). You can help us raise money for the continuing studio projects‚ and get some good looking merch for CHEEEEEP!

So...where´s the album...

Well...couple updates...
As we mentioned before‚ we were moving forward with the new album‚ having original lead singer Jason Wing signed on to complete vocals. This decision changed‚ as Jason didn´t feel he had what it took to pull off the new music.
You can imagine this threw a wrench in things‚ and so we were back to figuring out how we´re going to finish this album.
Well...we have an answer now...but it´s so exciting...we´re going to hold off in telling you till the right moment. Needless to say‚ there may be a new band rising out of the ashes of Faded Me‚ and we´re excited. It may take some time to take flight‚ so hold your britches everyone...
In other news....we found a producer to collab with in doing a Dance REMIX of the first album. Weird‚ yes....but has ever stopped us before...nope. Just think Postal Service meets Crowder´s sushi & sunsets‚ plus a whole lot more.

miss you all!

Things are in full swing with recording the new album‚ and that includes the research and writing of the lyrics based on our subject matter: concepts found in the book of Isaiah

Did you know....

~that Isaiah is more quoted/referred to in the New Testament than any other Old Testament book‚ except Psalms? (71 passages)(the Psalms has 89)

~that passages from 31 of Isaiah´s 66 chapters are quoted in the New Testament? The heaviest concentration is on chapters 6‚8‚28‚29‚40‚49‚52‚53. The most quoted is Isaiah 6:9-10‚ found in Matthew‚ Mark‚ Luke‚ John‚ Acts‚ and Romans. Interestingly enough this passage refers to those who have heard the Word of God‚ but still don´t understand it. Other most often quoted passages are Isaiah 40:3-8 and 53:1-12.

~that more quotes and references to Isaiah are written by the Apostle Paul‚ than by any other NT writer? The bulk of this can be found in Romans 9:29 thru 11:34‚ where Paul quotes from twelve different chapters of Isaiah over two and a half chapters. Paul uses Isaiah to support his teaching that Israel had been chosen to receive the covenant blessing of the Lord‚ but she had forfeited them‚ and now they were being offered to the rest of the world.

This study of Isaiah has been incredible. I can´t wait for you all to hear about it in our next album

Captains Log...
Just coming off a long 3 day weekend recording with Jon Badge. To say the least‚ a ton of fun‚ and a lot of black cherry vanilla coke‚ lime coke‚ code red‚ and coffee. We accomplished our goal though‚ having laid the bare bones "scratch tracks" that the entire next album will be built on‚ and for that we are glad as this is tedious stuff!
In light of a book I read recently called "Why Does God Hate Amputees" that left my heart saddened (the book not for the light hearted)‚ I came across a sweet verse during a break in recording: Isaiah 59:1 "Look! Listen! God´s arm is not amputated - He can still save. God´s ears are not stopped up - He can still hear." ~The Message.
As I´ve continued to read up on Isaiah for this album‚ I´ve found it really amazing that the whole message of Salvation through Jesus can be found in the Old Testament. Most Christian´s have heard of ´The Romans Road´‚ and can maybe even remember the verses that are part of it‚ but can any of us actually say we could lead someone to the Lord using just Old Testament verses? Might come in handy with our Hebrew friends who need Jesus....
